Kassar says investors did not withdraw deposits in Lebanon

Former Minister Adnan Kassar denied rumors stating that investors had withdrew USD one billion from their deposits in Lebanon, stressing that these statements are not true.

However, Kassar noted that accurate information indicates an increase in the deposits with markets depicting normal growth.

In this context, he said that the budgets of Banque du Liban and the other banks are well known, published and available for the media.
