Geagea: Situation in Lebanon unstable, cabinet should resign

Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea called on Saturday on the cabinet to resign over its reluctance in calling for an urgent meeting aimed at dealing with the security dangers prevailing over Tripoli and the north eastern borders.

"I cannot understand this cabinet and the lack of conscience of its members, since a city as large as the city of Tripoli is currently located at the crater of a volcano while the cabinet does not make any move in this regard. I cannot understand how a direct threat against us was launched by the Syrian regime, menacing the Lebanese border towns, and the cabinet does not take any measure," He said, noting that the one thing this cabinet can do is "to leave the Lebanese people alone."

On the other hand, Geagea had sent a letter to the newly-elected Pope Francis I, congratulating him, and hoping that he will bring peace and good will to humanity.
