Spouse of the Lebanese Prime Minister honors female reporters

Spouse of Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati, May Mikati, held a ceremony on Wednesday at the Grand Serail to honor female reporters in recognition of their efforts on the occasion of International Women's Day.

In this context, LBCI reporter Raneem Bou Khzam was honored.

Mrs. Mikati said that there is no difference between the soldier stationed at the border and the reporter stationed at the scene, noting that "granting women their rights should not be done in a form of a charitable favor."

Mrs. Mikati also called for taking into consideration the rights of the Lebanese female citizen, rather than only the rights of the woman in general.
