Berri, Hariri discuss electoral law

MP Saad Hariri called Speaker Nabih Berri on Friday and discussed with him the latest developments related to the electoral law and the hybrid proposal, as well as the positive efforts deployed in order to reach common grounds between parliamentary blocs.

The officials also tackled, during the call, the draft law pertaining to the extension of the mandates of military and security leaderships, in order to prevent void during this stage which requires concerted efforts aiming at addressing ongoing tension.

It is noteworthy that Hariri maintained contact with head of the Future bloc, Fouad Siniora and March 14 officials concerning this matter, as he received a call from the Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea earlier, whereby they discussed political developments and the issue of the electoral law.
