Palestinians protest to mark “Earth Day”

Israeli army and police deployed on Friday intensive reinforcement in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in anticipation of demonstrations expected to be staged by the Palestinians on Saturday to mark “Earth Day”, according to the Israeli Police and Army Radio.

In this context, the Arab minority in Israel which counts around 1.4 million people celebrates every year, on the occasion of “Earth Day”, the memorial of 6 persons who were killed by the Israeli forces on the 30th of March 1976, during violent confrontations against the confiscation of lands by the Jewish State.
