Italian Cooperation Minister visits Syrian refugees in Lebanon

Italian Minister for International Cooperation and Integration Andrea Riccardi toured on Saturday on several centers for Syrian refugees in Lebanon to examine their conditions and situation.

The tour kicked off at Shatila camp, in the presence of the Italian ambassador to Lebanon, where Riccardi expressed his solidarity with the refugees.

From Shatila, the delegation went to Aley, then Bekaa, Shtoura and Moukhtara where the Italian minister met with the head of the National Struggle Front MP Walid Jumblatt.

Earlier in the day, Riccardi and his accompanying delegation met with President Michel Sleiman at Baabda Presidential Palace, where they discussed the general situation and the latest developments.
