REPORT: Officials link unemployed refugees to increase in crime rate across Lebanon

Thefts in Lebanon have been carried out in broad daylight, as security records show a continuous increase in theft and robbery incidents across the country. Officials blame the growing number of unemployed non-Lebanese nationals who are living in difficult conditions and the security chaos rampant throughout many regions where criminals are not being held accountable.

This report will examine the increasing security violations across several Lebanese regions as well as the number of perpetrators arrested following the crimes.
