Serbia apologizes for Srebrenica massacre in Bosnia

Serbia’s President Tomislav Nikolic offered on Thursday an apology for his country's role in the Srebrenica massacre of some 8,000 Muslim Bosnians, men and boys, which was committed in 1995.

"I kneel and ask for forgiveness from Serbia for the crime committed in Srebrenica," President Nikolic said in a statement prepared for Bosnian state television, adding however that "genocide needs to be proved."
