Sehnaoui to file slander lawsuit against MP Youssef, says Future bloc lost its credibility

Caretaker Telecommunications Minister Nicolas Sehnaoui responded on Thursday to the remarks launched against him by Future bloc MP Ghazi Youssef, explaining that the Audit Bureau “categorically denied” MP Youssef’s statements.          

During a press conference, Sehnaoui said that the Future bloc has lost its credibility when it began launching false accusations against the Telecommunications Ministry, stressing that the bloc’s goals are “purely electoral”.           

In this context, the caretaker minister stressed that he will file a slander lawsuit against Youssef, adding that “this might lead the Future bloc to avoid further deception.”         

In his concluding remarks, Minister Sehnaoui called on all March 14 partisans and specifically the supporters of the Future Bloc not to be decieved by electoral campaigns based on defamation and slander.              

"You are free to dislike the Free Patriotic Movement for the main political choices it makes, but do not fail to see the achievements of the Telecommunications Ministry which is aiming to set Lebanon on the global communications map."
