Ferzli to LBCI: Tuesday’s developments an aberration to Bkerke meeting’s agreements

Former deputy Speaker Elie Ferzli stressed on Wednesday that all the Christian parties supported the Orthodox draft law, noting that Tuesday’s developments are nothing but “an aberration from what was agreed upon during Bkerke meetings”.

In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, Ferzli noted that the Christians have the right to elect their own deputies, just like any other "component of the Lebanese community", adding that the Bkerke meetings were based on this principle.

Ferzli stated that MP Michel Aoun placed the interests of the Christians above all matters, and his vision was based on specific principles pertaining to the electoral project.
