Sleiman discusses electoral process with Charbel and Kortbawi

President Michel Sleiman met on Monday with caretaker Interior and Municipalities Minister Marwan Charbel and discussed with him the issues pertaining to the formation of an Electoral Supervisory Committee and the funding of the parliamentary elections, while Charbel briefed the president on the ministry’s preparations as well as the security situation in the country.

In this context, Sleiman also met with caretaker Justice Minister Shakib Kortbawi who also discussed the arrangements carried out by the ministry for the electoral process.

On the other hand, Sleiman received the Lebanese-Canadian writer and director Wajdi Mouawad accompanied by a delegation, who is presenting a play within the Beirut Spring Festival. Sleiman offered Mouawad the Shield of the Presidency of the Republic in recognition of his works in both literature and theater.
