Salam to keep pace with latest developments concerning Sleiman’s appeal

Visitors of Prime Minister-Designate Tammam Salam quoted on Sunday the latter as saying that he is keen on monitoring the developments concerning the appeal presented by President Michel Sleiman to the law pertaining to the extension of Parliament’s mandate, while focusing at the same time on his deliberations with the political parties in order to form a new cabinet.

Various municipal and popular delegations from several regions visited Salam, along with numerous political personalities.

President Michel Sleiman appealed on Saturday the law pertaining to the extension of the Parliament’s mandate before the Constitutional Council, one day after it was voted on by the members of Parliament, signed by caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati and then signed by Sleiman himself.
