Health Minister Hassan: We expect second wave of virus next fall or winter
Minister of Health Hamad Hassan stressed on Tuesday the necessity of everyone’s cooperation facing the Coronavirus amid the surge in infections.
“Masks must be worn, social distancing must be respected and thing must be taken seriously,” Hassan said during an interview with al-Nour radio station.
The minister added that the peak infections number that the country is witnessing is due to the reopening of the country and the easing down of the lockdown rules.
“We expect that the second wave of the virus will take place next fall or winter,” he added.
Hassan noted that Lebanon is not done yet with the virus as in all countries in the world, adding that Lebanon is doing “an outstanding performance in addressing the virus.”
