On the first day of the complete lockdown in Lebanon, the beaches of the southern city of Tyre were overcrowded on Saturday with beachgoers.
Some of them were laying on the sand sunbathing, while others were swimming and practicing sports. It is worth mentioning that the municipality of Tyre had closed the entrances to the beaches but beachgoers insisted on entering in the absence of security forces. The majority of these beachgoers came from Beirut, Jezzine, Bekaa, Metn and Jounieh.
