Grand Mufti Daryan: We will not backtrack on coexistence

Grand Mufti Abdul Latif Daryan stressed on Tuesday the need to confront the damage that the extremists want to inflict on our religion.

“We will not backtrack on coexistence no matter what the conditions are because we are one nation with one fate,” Daryan added.

Daryan’s comments were made after receiving Prime Minister Tammam Salam at Dar al-Fatwa on the occasion of the Prophet’s Birthday.

Salam hoped that the efforts deployed by the Grand Mufti continue to succeed in addressing “everything that is hindering the path of Islam and Muslims.”
