Do not involve Hezbollah in UNIFIL incident: Hezbollah Official Safa

Head of Hezbollah's Liaison and Coordination Unit, Wafiq Safa, called for not involving Hezbollah in the incident in Al-Aqabiya "between the residents and a UNIFIL vehicle from the Irish battalion."

Safa demanded that the security services be allowed to investigate the incident. 

He referred to some of the details of the incident as reported by the people, revealing that one vehicle belonging to the Irish force entered an unfamiliar road that the UNIFIL does not usually use. Simultaneously, a second vehicle took the international highway and was not subject to any attack.

Safa offered condolences to UNIFIL forces for the soldier's death, wishing recovery for the injured in the unintended accident.
