Nabil Fahed to LBCI: Prices of hundreds of commodities in supermarkets have been modified

The president of the syndicate of supermarket owners of Lebanon Nabil Fahed said on Tuesday that reducing the prices is a subjective decision for every institution or company.

He added that prices of hundreds of commodities in supermarkets have been modified since Friday, explaining that these commodities are basic and constitute 90% of the daily need of the citizen.

"The citizen will always say that he does not feel the difference and that the prices do not decrease because his purchasing power is weak," Fahed said during an interview with Nharkom Said TV show.

He also noted that figures and price lists in the supermarkets that reduced their prices showed that the decrease reached 30% in some items.

"It is in our best interest to lower prices to encourage people to buy,” he concluded by saying.
