Ali to LBCI: Lebanon’s stance in Arab League is realistic
Syrian Ambassador to Lebanon Abdul Karim Ali praised the stance taken by the Lebanese government that voted against the Arab League’s decision to suspend Syria. Ali told Nharkom Said TV show that Lebanon was logical and realistic in its interpretation of the Syrian events and aware of the negative repercussions of such a decision on Lebanon’s security.

“Syria attaches great importance to the inter-Arab dialogue”, Ali said, adding that the Arabs should be aware of the facts as they truly are instead of seeing them through the eyes of those who are paving the way for foreign interference in the region.

Ali stressed that the Syrian security forces worked on fortifying diplomatic headquarters after the Syrian popular uprise that followed the Arab League’s decision.

“The media’s incitements against the Syrian regime and the terrorist assaults against Syrian security forces are negatively impacting Syria”, Ali said. Ali stressed that there are no Syrian refugees in Lebanon, noting that the population movement between Lebanon and Syria has never stopped thru ought history.
