Britain's King Charles arrives in US for state visit

Britain's King Charles III arrived in Washington Monday for a high-stakes state visit aimed at salvaging frayed ties with Donald Trump, amid extra-tight security following an attack on a gala dinner attended by the U.S. president.

Charles and Queen Camilla arrived at Joint Base Andrews near Washington on a plane with a Union Jack on the tail, before descending red carpeted stairs to begin the four-day trip.
