REPORT: Al-Abboudieh residents reopen the Int’l road between Lebanon and Syria

Al-Abboudieh residents reopened on Monday the international road between Lebanon and Syria after cutting it off on Sunday to denounce the Syrian shelling and shooting that burned their agricultural lands.

Various Lebanese border villages mainly in the north and the Bekaa Valley have been the target of shelling from the Syrian side.

The Syrian conflict is increasingly spilling over into Lebanon.

Hezbollah's participation in the conflict, backing forces of Syrian President Bashar Assad in a successful campaign to drive rebels out of al-Qusayr near the Lebanese border, heightened tensions.
