Gemayel: Nasrallah has decided to import foreign conflict into Lebanon

MP Sami Gemayel said on Monday that Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah has decided to import foreign conflicts into Lebanon; instead of seeking agreement with compatriots.

“How can he control the fate of all the Lebanese?” he asked.

During a press conference held following the weekly meeting of the Kataeb party’s political bureau, Gemayel said that the Lebanese Penal Code sentences to temporary detention or exile whomever participates in aggression against Lebanon or subjects Lebanon to any hostile acts, noting that the state has become unable to defend itself due to the spread of weapons and kidnappings across the country.

“The situation on the ground may significantly deteriorate at any moment,” MP Gemayel warned.

Gemayel addressed President Michel Sleiman, calling on him to strike with an iron fist all those who attempt to destabilize Lebanon.
