Mikati: We must end corruption to avoid Arab Spring revolt

PM Najib Mikati said that the latest political and security events that took place in neighboring countries as revolutions against corruption requires that all governments review their economic and political agendas and structure.

Mikati added that such tasks require the formation of regulatory bodies to observe the functioning of the government and to hold any perpetrators accountable.

During the 46th meeting of the Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI) held at the Grand Serail, Mikati said that the government shows significant interests in national issues and is keen to work on departments and official institutions, especially those directly associated with citizens and their needs.
