Caretaker Public Works Minister Ghazi al-Aridi stressed that Speaker Nabih Berri is exerting tireless efforts in order to shed light on the Lebanese Armed Forces’ 'victory' in the city of Sidon, noting that “this achievement will lay the foundations of security and stability in the country”.

Following a meeting held between a delegation of the Progressive Socialist Party in Ain El-Tineh with Speaker Nabih Berri on Thursday, Minister al-Aridi said that the Lebanese parties should naturally form a new government following the extension of the parliament’s mandate.        

The Minister added that he has agreed with Speaker Berri on the aforementioned issue in order to find a political leadership that will be able to work for the country’s interest.
