Salam says no progress in the cabinet's formation

Prime Minister-Designate Tammam Salam said Monday that no progress has been achieved in the formation of a new government, but added however that further efforts will be exerted in this regard.

Following his meeting with President Michel Sleiman at the Baabda Palace, Salam reiterated his support for a government in which all Lebanese political parties can participate, stressing that the rotation of governmental portfolios is paramount.

In this regard, Salam said he has yet to receive a list of ministerial nominees from the March 8 coalition, adding that the National Struggle Front leader MP Walid Jumblatt has played a pivotal role in the designation process.
