Future bloc: Life in Lebanon cannot be led by Hezbollah and its weapons

The Future bloc held on Tuesday its weekly meeting in which it said that the 2006 war defeated Israel thanks to the Lebanese people, their support for the resistance and the diplomatic efforts exerted by the cabinet at the time.

The bloc reiterated that Hezbollah is militarily interfering in Sidon's Abra, adding that its activities are affecting the areas residents.

The bloc stressed that Lebanon cannot be led by Hezbollah and its military wing, "since the group is participating in the crisis taking place in Syria and defying the Lebanese people's will."

The bloc called on Hezbollah to withdraw its fighters from Syria, and announcing Sidon, Tripoli and Beirut as arms-free cities.

It also urged for facilitating the task of Prime Minister-Designate Tammam Salam in forming a new government, to "put an end to the country's urgent matters."

The bloc said that it is not trying to isolate Hezbollah and the Syrian regime but is instead attempting to safeguard the country.

It concluded by urging the Lebanese state to deal with the crisis caused by the rise in the number of Syrian refugees in the country.
