Dispelling the rumors of Sabah’s death

Twitter has been buzzing with rumors of Lebanese singer Sabah’s death since Saturday evening. An article posted on the al-Diyar website may have been one of the earliest sources of the rumor, describing, in detail, a “sudden heart attack” suffered by the Lebanese Song Bird. The article also mentioned that her two children, living overseas, were asked to immediately return to Lebanon.

These claims have now been proven to be false.

An LBCI source close to the singers family confirmed that Sabah (neé Jeanette Feghali) is alive and well. Lebanese daily al-Akhbar quoted Sabah’s niece as saying that the rumors are “criminal” and their source will soon be revealed. However, no official statement has been given by Sabah herself since the rumors emerged.
