Palestinian president slams 'punitive' US visa denial at UN

Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas on Thursday slammed Washington's "punitive" decision to deny him a visa to attend the U.N.'s signature diplomatic week.

"We reject these unlawful punitive measures, and we reject the accusations and justifications on which they were based," he told the U.N. General Assembly in a pre-recorded video message.
