Pietton urges Lebanese parties to act responsibly

French Ambassador to Lebanon Denis Pietton urged different political parties on Monday to act responsibly and to not leverage incidents in Syria for political ends.

Pietton also stressed the importance for Lebanon to adopt a policy of neutrality.

Following his meeting with Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour, Pietton reiterated France’s support for the Arab League’s efforts regarding Syria, confirming again that there France will not seek out a military solution.
