Tensions run high between Arsal, Maqneh

Tensions run high in the northeastern border town of Arsal following a wave of tit-for-tat kidnapping between Arsal and the town of Maqneh.

The families of the abducted persons from Arsal blocked the road to protest the continuous kidnappings while Al-Moqdad clan called for the release of their kinsman identified as Youssef al-Moqdad.

In this context, sources told LBCI that the number of the abducted from Al-Moqdad clan has reached 10 persons as efforts are being exerted in order to settle the issue.
