Pilots Syndicate stage sit-in to support unemployed Lebanese pilots

The Lebanese Pilots Syndicate staged on Tuesday morning a sit-in outside the Trans Mediterranean Airways (TMA) building at Beirut International Airport, to express solidarity with 46 pilots who have been subject to arbitrary dismissal since 2005 and have not yet received their compensations.

The pilots of TMA Company and representatives of the National Federation of Trade Unions and employees in Lebanon participated in the sit-in.

The head of the Pilots Syndicate, Captain Fadi Khalil said that this movement came after rounds of talks held between the syndicate and several Lebanese officials in a bid to reach a solution for the crisis, slamming the employment of foreign pilots, while Lebanese pilots remain unemployed.
