Israel threatens to strike Hezbollah

While the Israeli army is keeping silence over the explosion that wounded four Israeli soldiers after they crossed into the Lebanese territories on Wednesday morning, the member of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee Meir Sheetrit threatened to strike Hezbollah in case it attacked Israeli targets.              

Sheetrit declared that his country will not allow the current situation at the Lebanese borders to persist, stressing that it will not stand idly by while Hezbollah turns into “Iran’s arm that threatens north Israel,” as he said.              

However, the head of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee Avigdor Liberman had prevented the journalists from staying inside the committee’s meeting hall when the conferees started their discussions with a report on the security situation at the border regions presented by the commander of the military intelligence.
