General Security Directorate proceeds with investigations in al-Naameh incident

The General Security apparatus is proceeding with its investigations in the case of the car loaded with explosives found near the municipality of al-Naameh, south of Beirut under the supervision of the Military Court Judge Dani Zaani.          

In the same context, Al-Mustaqbal newspaper reported on Tuesday that Judge Zaani ordered the release of 4 persons arrested for investigations.     

On Monday, the General Security Directorate issued the photos of Mohammad Qassem Al Ahmad (30 years - Haret Naameh) and Saeed Mohammad Bahri (28 years - Dohat Aramoun), on suspicion of involvement in the al-Naameh incident.                         

The General Security consequently arrested 2 Palestinians; Ahmad and Khaled al-Said, and the Lebanese citizen Tarek al-Tayarah on the same charges.                      

On Saturday the 18th of August, 4 TNT boxes, 50 kg of explosives and a wireless device were found in an Audi car parked near the municipality of al-Naameh, south of Beirut.      

The security apparatuses immediately rushed to the scene while security sources confirmed that the car was loaded with 100 kg of TNT.
