Prayers for peace in Syria to be held at Lebanese churches

As a response to calls made by Pope Francis, prayers will be held on Saturday afternoon in various churches across Lebanon for peace in Syria and the Middle East.

Pope Francis called for a day of prayers and fasting for peace and against any military strike on Syria.

Prayers for Syria will be held across the world, and will be concluded with a vigil in St. Peter’s Square, from 7 pm until midnight, in the presence of Pope Francis.
