Future bloc says dialogue should be based on Hezbollah's weapons

The Future bloc issued a statement on Tuesday whereby it announced that Hezbollah's telecommunications network as well as the notion of self-imposed security are undermining the Lebanese state, adding that Speaker Nabih Berri's initiative meets with the bloc's standpoint.

Following its weekly meeting, the Future bloc said that dialogue among the Lebanese parties should be based on Hezbollah's weapons and the need to withdraw its "fighters" from Syria, calling on President Michel Sleiman and Prime Minister-Designate Tammam Salam to expedite the formation of a new cabinet.

On the Syrian file, the bloc praised the US-Russia deal on Syria as "a positive step aiming at destroying Syria's chemical weapons," noting that "it is the first step to eliminate Weapons of Mass Destruction from the Middle-East".
