REPORT: FPM leader Aoun says Mikati evaded his responsibilities

Change and Reform bloc leader MP Michel Aoun said on Friday that he had previously warned against several problems the country is currently facing.

He said he had warned caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati against the repercussions of the Syrian refugee crisis and that he shouldn't have adopted the dissociation polity regarding the Akkar and Arsal incidents.

"Mikati 'evaded' his responsibility by claiming that the cabinet is divided," MP Aoun said.

"There are huge discrepancies between the Free Patriotic Movement and Lebanese officials in regards to the practice of governance principles," MP Aoun added.

MP Aoun also stressed the need to use Lebanon's natural resources for development, adding that they should be well-managed in order to prevent land sale.
