Israel vows to prevent Hezbollah from receiving weapons from Syria

The Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon stressed during the meeting of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee at the Parliament that his country is closely monitoring the situation in Syria and the regime’s operations aimed at dismantling the chemical arsenal.

“We are following up on the issue in order to prevent any attempt to transport weapons from Syria to any hostile party, mainly Hezbollah,” the defense minister said in a statement distributed by his media office.
