Sleiman meets with Ukrainian PM, leaves for Armenia
President Michel Sleiman met on Thursday before noon with Ukrainian Prime Minister Micolas Azarof and discussed bilateral ties between both countries and necessity to boost and activate cooperation on the economic level through investments.

Also, discussions focused on the situation in the region, where both sides stressed the necessity of democracy. Sleiman thanked Ukraine for its contribution in the UNIFIL forces working in south Lebanon, pointing out to the necessity of bilateral cooperation in serving peace issues in the region and the world.

Sleiman sent his regards to the Ukrainian President and invited him to visit Lebanon, while Ukrainian PM also conveyed Sleiman an invitation to visit Ukraine.

The media office of President Michel Sleiman said that President Michel Sleiman and his wife left Beirut on Thursday noon heading to Armenia on an official three day visit accompanied by an official delegation.

President Michel Sleiman will hold a summit with his Armenian counterpart and will meet Armenia top officials in addition he will attend signing understanding memos in different fields.
