Mansour heads to Kuwait to participate in preparatory meetings for African-Arab Summit

Caretaker Foreign Affairs Minister Adnan Mansour headed on Friday to Kuwait to participate in the preparatory meetings for the Third African-Arab Summit, which will be held in the presence of Arab and African presidents and senior officials.

Prior to his departure, Minister Mansour said that the conference will boost ties between the Arab states and the African continent, stressing that officials will tackle economic, political and cultural issues.

Minister Mansour added that that Syrian file will also be discussed during the meetings since the Syrian crisis is not only affecting Lebanon, but the entire region.

Mansour noted that President Michel Sleiman will be chairing the Lebanese delegation that will participate in the November 19-20 Summit.
