US ambassador David Hale meets PM-Designate Salam, tackles US-Iranian deal

US ambassador to Lebanon David Hale held a meeting on Thursday with Prime Minister-Designate Tammam Salam at the latter's residence in Msaytbeh and briefed him on the US-Iranian deal over the Iranian nuclear program.

Talks also featured high on the general situation and the developments in Lebanon and the region.

Separately, Salam sent a letter to the Prime Minister and Vice President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, offering his congratulations after Dubai won vote to host 2020 World Expo.
