Sleiman to LBCI: I am convinced in the rightness of defending Saudi Arabia

Lebanese President Michel Sleiman said on Monday that the dossier of oil drilling does not require holding a ministerial session, calling for the formation of a cabinet that oversees the upcoming presidential elections.

In the same context, President Sleiman assured to a delegation from the Lebanese Press Syndicate headed by Mohammad Baalbaki that the said elections will be held on their due date and a de facto cabinet will not be formed.

On another note, Sleiman told LBCI "I am absolutely convinced in the rightness of defending the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia," adding that there is no evidence pertaining to the involvement of Saudi Arabia in the latest bombings that targeted Lebanon.

Asked about the reasons why he did not ask the Secretary General of Hezbollah about the evidence that the latter has regarding the suicide attack that targeted the Iranian Embassy in Beirut, President Sleiman said that "Hezbollah's Nasrallah should have presented his evidence before accusing any country."

"Embassies in Lebanon represent countries, and protecting these countries is part of my duties," President Sleiman said.
