Azour to LBCI: There is an obvious lack of cooperation between ministries

Former Finance Minister Jihad Azour said Wednesday that preparing for storms and disasters is an essential matter, noting that the appropriate mechanisms are absent while there is an obvious lack of cooperation between the ministries in Lebanon.

In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, Azour stressed the need to rehabilitate the infrastructure, and to ensure additional funds in the treasury in case of any urgent or unexpected expenditure.

Concerning the issue of the Syrian refugees, the former minister noted that this matter requires the establishment of a body that will guarantee necessary foreign assistance.
