Lebanese officials commemorate anniversary of Gebran Tueni’s death

Future bloc MP Ahmad Fatfat said “the day MP Gebran Tueni was assassinated, 8 years of threats by the use of weapons began”.

“Lebanon did not bow to difficulties even under the toughest circumstances,” Fatfat said on Saturday, adding that “the country stood against the Israeli invasion and the civil war”.

In turn, March 14 MP Marwan Hamadeh stressed that the Cedar Revolution will form a real Lebanese government, not a cabinet related to Syrian President Bachar al-Assad, noting that it will elect a new President who shall have the qualities of President Michel Sleiman.
