Paris calls on Damascus to respect Lebanon’s sovereignty

The French Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson Bernard Valero called on Syria to respect the integrity of Lebanese territories and Lebanon’s sovereignty after a Syrian patrol entered the Lebanese territories, injuring two people.

Valero told reporters that this incident reveals, once again, the danger posed by the Syrian regime’s repressive regime on the region’s stability.

Valero urged the Lebanese authorities to spare no effort to facilitate the reception and treatment of the injured Syrians and to respect the rights of the refugees who want to enter the Lebanese territories.
