Israeli military cuts down a tree, LAF in state of high alert

Israeli military cut down a tree adjacent to border town of al-Adaisseh putting the Lebanese Armed Forces in state of high alert.

According to the state-run National News agency, 10 Israeli soldiers in a Jeep vehicle used a crane to cut branches of a tree that fell following the latest storm under close Israeli military surveillance.

The Israelis undertook maintenance works on the wired fence immediately as their operation caused some damage while the LAF took security measures on the public road of al-Adaisseh - Kfarkila.

In this context, UNIFIL peacekeepers military vehicles deployed in the area in order to keep an eye on the work being carried out on the Israeli side.
