Follow-up committee at Ain el-Helwe camp dismisses accusations
The follow-up committee for national and Islamic forces at the Ain el-Helwe Palestinian refugee camp dismissed Saturday accusations launched against some persons at the camp regarding the assassination of former minister Mohammad Chatah.

The committee reiterated its commitment to neutrality with regards to the Lebanese internal disputes, adding that it is adamant on the country's security and stability.

In this regard, the committee condemned claims about the car bomb used in the Starco explosion, noting that the so-called Moussa Khodor Moussa had handed himself to the security forces 10 months ago and admitted that he had stolen cars.

"As soon as the names of suspects were made public through the media, Mohammad Saleh dubbed as As-Sarii was handed over to the Lebanese security forces which released him after few hours after it was revealed that he was not involved in this heinous crime," the committee said.

It called on the media to avoid irrational accusations and to seek accuracy, and said: "We feel that a plot is targeting the Palestinian camps, mainly the Ain el-Helwe camp".
