Saudi Arabia denounces "terrorist" attacks targeting Lebanon

 
The Saudi Council of Minister denounced on Monday the explosion that targeted Beirut's Haret Hreik and the other explosion that targeted former Minister Mohammad Chatah, describing them as "terrorist attacks".

Foreign Affairs Minister Abdel Aziz Khoja stressed that the Saudi Council of Minister condemns these attacks, and called on the Lebanese cabinet to work for the benefit of the Lebanese nation and establish the state's authority on all Lebanese territories.                      

An explosion rocked the Lebanese capital Beirut on Friday, December 27, targeting the convoy of former minister Mohammad Chatah.                             

Sources at the explosion site said Chatah was on his way to attend a meeting at Beit al-Wasat when the explosion occurred.                        

The explosion in Beirut's Starco claimed the lives of 8 persons, including former minister Chatah, and injured 71 others.            

Another powerful explosion shook southern Beirut, a stronghold of Hezbollah, on Thursday the 2nd of January, killing at least 5 people and injuring more than 77 others.
