Abou Faour wants Hezbollah, UNIFIL and national unity
The Minister of Social Affairs  Wael Abou Faour insisted Sunday on three main principles to salvage national unity, the Resistance, UNIFIL, and national dialogue. The Minister addressed an audience at a celebration honoring retired teachers from the villages of Rashaya held in Mohaydethe.

"The only option we have is to return to the national dialogue table," he said, adding that Lebanon should not interfere in matters that did not concern it. On that note, he wished stability upon Syria and asked for a halt to the ongoing blood bath.

He advised the government to aid Syrian refugees, as it is a humanitarian matter and not a political one.

"To protect Lebanon, we must protect its strong points and the arms of the Resistance in the South serve as strength for the country regardless of our disputes over it, and we must hold on to it." Abou Faour held to the necessity of keeping UNIFIL in the south as their mission was also to protect Lebanon.

Finally, the Minister called for national dialogue that would include all factions of society so that no one felt left out.
