Factory producing counterfeit medicine raided in Bar Elias

A unit from the General Directorate of State Security in the Bekaa raided Thursday morning a mobile factory that produces counterfeit medicine in Bar Elias.

On Wednesday, the General Directorate of State Security raided a warehouse in the eastern Bekaa town of Majdel Anjar and seized counterfeit medication, the state-run National News Agency reported, adding that a large quantity of counterfeit drugs was seized.

In 2012, two people, including the brother of caretaker Minister of State for Administrative Reform Mohammad Fneish, were charged with an illegal medication case.
