PROFILE: Minister of Justice Ashraf Rifi

This is a brief review over the life of Justice Minister Ashraf Rifi: 

- Born in Tripoli 1954, married to Salima Adeeb and has four children. 

- Has a Bachelor Degree in sociology and Master's Degree in sociology of crime from the Lebanese University in 1981. 

- He studied police work abroad during assignments with police forces in Ottawa, Canada; Maisons-Alfort, France; and Saudi Arabia.

- Graduated from Military School in 1976. 

- Served as Director General of ISF from 2005 until 2013. 

- Awarded honorary doctorate from AUST in 2008.
