Sleiman: Solidarity the Key to Salvation

President Michel Sleiman held a series of phone calls that included Interior and Municipalities Minister Nouhad al-Mashnouq, Iranian ambassador to Lebanon Ghazanfar Roknabadi, the Kuwaiti ambassador Abdul Al al-Qinai and concerned officials, in order to follow up on the information available on the terrorist attack that targeted the Bir Hassan region of south Beirut.

In this context, the president called on the military and security apparatuses to tighten their measures and intensify cooperation in order to reveal the perpetrators and put an end to the terrorist attacks targeting Lebanon and its people.

Sleiman extended condolences to the families of the victims and hoped fast recovery for the wounded, stressing that the only way to salvation is through complete solidarity among the political parties.

“Terrorism does not separate between regions and religions, but follows one doctrine represented by murder and destruction,” he added.
